Our annual event took place on April 14, 2025 at the Théâtre des Galeries. The play was under the High Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Paola. Numerous personalities attended the event, in particular Mr. Vervoort, Minister President of the Brussels-Capital Region, who honored us with his presence that evening, in recognition of the work carried out by Constellations asbl.
Also present were the mayors, Messrs Cerexhe, Leisterh and Maingain, and the members of parliament, Madame Czekalski, Messrs de Beukelaer and Weytsman.
Delegations from Cocof and AViQ, led by Bernadette Lambrechts and Cannela respectively, also took part in the evening.
The theatrical evening was given in aid of our 2 latest projects, Atipi and its day center, and Les Aubépines and its residential center. Proceeds from the evening's theater and accompanying events - tombola, champagne sales - will contribute to the €300,000 that Constellations asbl will donate to each of these two projects.
In their respective speeches, Constellations president Christine Berlemont and vice-president Claude Meyer recalled a series of news items and asked a number of questions.
Good news first:
On the bad news front:
It is with great regret that we have to announce that we will be putting the Atelier Tam Tam non-profit organization on hold as of mid-May. And yet, the results were spectacular, both in terms of progress for patients and skills development for learners. Unfortunately, the funds obtained to launch the activity in 2024 cannot be sustained by a government in current affairs.
Thanks to the invaluable support of the Portray Foundation, to whom we would like to express our sincere thanks once again, we will be able to support our beneficiaries until May. After that, we have to face the facts: with the absence of a Brussels government depriving us of subsidies, we simply won't have the means to continue.
If the current government, with the support of all the parties who of course support this project, could find a solution before April 30, we'd be delighted, and it's only €135,000 because Constellations has decided to put €40,000 into the game.
Our hopes - and those of the patients, their families and our students - now turn to 2026, in the hope that a full government will then decide to support this project which is as innovative as it is essential for mental health in Brussels.
The most spectacular event of the evening was the presentation of a cheque for €100,000 to each of our 3 current projects:
L'Asbl les Anémones (construction of a new home which already accommodates 40 people),
Le CREB and its 2 homes,
Le center de jour de la Forestière (64 places in a day center) to help them cope with the very high inflation in the construction sector.
The people in charge of the construction and reconstruction project received the cheque to thunderous applause from the audience.
The prestigious tombola was also a great success, as was the auction of a beautiful painting donated by Thierry Degeyter, a resident of the asbl la Maisonnée.
The play, “Dear Parents”, was highly amusing, and the actors excellent. The audience's reactions were very warm.
Before the speeches, a film was shown on all Constellations projects. This short film, made by the La Maisonnée team, was much appreciated by the audience.
The evening was a great success. Thank you all for your presence and support.
