6th house : ARTOS

We created the Asbl Artos in partnership with Timber ,another Asbl in order to set up a bakery workshop and to offer activities to 25 adults with mental disabilities. Artos is bilingual.

The association owns a building located on the site of the Manoir d'Anjou in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre (through a leasehold). The building has been completely renovated. Constellations has contributed a large amount of money to this project and has also mobilised support through several foundations.

Starting at 9 a.m., the apprentice bakers make different kinds of breads and desserts with top quality products, including sourdough and flours without additives. The products are baked in a wood-burning oven and sold at the store next to the workshop.

All of this is done under the supervision of a professional baker.
